[L4D2] Sync Points System

You know that every portal has its own Points System. Our Sync Point System don't have anything in common with the original plugin.

 

 

In a nutshell:

The plugin don't change the L4D2's gameplay. In another words you cannot buy things like that: first-aid kits, tanks, health and etc. Both the teamplay and your own skill still play the leading role in this game, but no doubt this plugin adds some interesting features in the gameplay. If you use them correctly you will have more chances to win.

 

[spoiler=Survivors]

Instant:

"Convert temp HP"- your temporary points of health are converted to the permanent ones if you have used pills or an adrenaline.

"Fire yell"- all kind of the infected are set afire at a distance 400; you are also got damage during 5 seconds.

"Power yell"- all the special infected are pushed off and the common ones are set afire at a distance 800(shove's power is 600); you are also got 7 points of loss.

"Leap of desperation"- all the special infected are pushed off at a distance 200 and the common ones are set afire every second(shove's power is 400); every second you are got 1 point of loss within 10 seconds( all told you are losing 10 health points).

 

Long Action:

"Speed-up"- your movement is increased on 40% during 5 minutes.

"SpecialShield"- it is activated(you are not got any damage within 5 seconds) while you are under attack by a hunter, a smoker, a charger and it is deactivated if you are out of danger.

"SpecialShield 2"- it is activated during 30 seconds when you have been incapacitated. It is deactivated if you get up.

"Vampire"- you get +1 HP for killing an ordinary infected and +3 HP for killing a special one.

"Stamina"- you can fight off the infected without any rest within 5 minutes.

"Melee master"- you have no interval between melee attacks during 5 minutes.

"Revenge to boomer"- if you have been poured by a boomer you will have a 50% chance to revenge him.

"Gifts from zombies"- you are received +4 bullets for killing an ordinary zombie and +10 bullets for killing a boss one.

 

Items:

"Laser"- the laser sight is fixed on the current gun.

"AWP"- you buy the Arctic Warfare Magnum in other words AWP. A team can buy only two per round.

"Machinegun M60"- you buy the Machinegun m60. A team can buy only one per round.

"Grenade-launcher"- you buy the grenade-launcher. A team can buy only two per round.

"Explosive ammo"- you buy the explosive ammo.

"Incendiary ammo"- you buy the incendiary ammo.

"Explosive upgradepack"- you buy the explosive upgradepack.

"Incendiary upgradepack"- you buy the incendiary upgradepack.

 

Team bonuses:

"Team speed-up"- the survivors' movement is increased on 40% during 1 minute.

"Team regeneration"- all the survivors generate +1 HP every second within 1 minute.

"Turret"- it is a powerful weapon which takes aim at infected and shoots them automatically. If you'd like to take it you should perform an easy operation: CTRL+ Right Button Mouse. If you'd like to install it you should have hold of the button "e".

"Surprize for zombies"- all the infected are getting vomit when spawn during 1 minute.

"Untouchable"- everyone who dares to touch you will be on fire. The team bonus duration is 5 minutes.

"Physical power-up"- all the survivors are getting more stronger physically therefore they get less damage and are able to do harm to special infected and kill common ones. The team bonus duration is 5 minutes.

 

 

[spoiler=Infected]

Spawn bonuses:

"Speed-up"- your movement is increased on 30%. That is restricted for Tanks.

"Damage boost +7"- you do more damage as usual.

"SpecialShield"- it is activated when you have sprung upon a survivor playing as an infected. The bonus duration is 5 seconds.

"HP boost +100%"- your health is increased twice. You can buy it only in a ghost mode. That is restricted for Tanks.

"Acid Claws"- you do an additional damage which makes +3 points of loss let alone the victim's movement is decreasing on 30% until the effect do not end.

"Fire Shield"- you have got an immunity from the fire. If it is activated while you are on fire you will be extinguished. That is restricted for Tanks.

"Camouflage"- you are in a 60% invisibility mode. That is restricted for Tanks.

"Melee Shield"- you have got an immunity from the melle attacks.

"Regeneration"- you get +10 HP every 2 seconds.

"Yell Shield"- you have got an immunity from the survivors' yells like the "power yell" and the "leap of desperation".

These spawn bonuses have an effect till you die.

 

Summons:

"Witch"- you spawn a witch.

"Hulk"- you spawn a mini tank called Hulk. Keep in mind he is faster than a tank. He has only 3000 HP and cannot throw rocks.

"Common zombie horde"- you spawn a common zombie horde.

"Riot cop horde"- you spawn a riot cop horde.

"Ceda horde"- you spawn a ceda horde.

"Clown horde"- you spawn a clown horde.

"Mud horde"- you spawn a mud horde.

"Roadcrew horde"- you spawn a roadcrew horde.

"Jimmy horde"- you spawn a Jimmy horde.

"Fallen horde"- you spawn a fallen horde.

Keep in mind a horde spawn is not instant.

 

Special:

"Suicide"- you kill yourselves.

Team bonuses:

"Survivors slowdown"- the survivors' movement is decreased on 40% during 1 minute.

"Death cloud"- there is a smoker's cloud over each survivor which does -1 damage to them every two seconds. The bonus duration is 1 minute.

"Zombie apocalypse"- the 10 special infected hordes spawn one by one. Apocalypse is incoming.

"Poison"- one of the survivors is poisoned therefore he moves very slowly and gets less damage as it should be thanks to poison. He also recieves a special shield which can sustain 10 attacks.

By and large you are able to use all the capacities or combine them if you want. It will give you an advantage over others because the combined attacks will do more harm as usual ones besides you have an opportunity to use some interesting features like a special shield, camouflage and etc.

Tank Chaos - n00b favourite - should be used with caution. Each ChaosTank can handle only 4-6 AWP bullets. That's 2 to 3 seconds! Therefore, Tank Chaos blows 9 times out of 10))

 

Several other options are used only occasionally. Most useful team purchases for survs:

Mass regeneration

Turret

Surprize for zombies (warning - only 60 seconds - means either u rush or u receive no use from ur hard earned pointz)

Team speed-up (as a counterbuff for survivors slowdown activated by the Infected team)

 

Most useful buffs for infected:

Survivors slowdown (on tanks)

Zombie apocalypse

Death cloud (-30 hp4each surv, also cheap)

Poison (to delay a team for 60 seconds)

Kick n00bz, and don't leave ppl behind

More on the spawn bonuses:

- Special shield increases typical n00bcharge damage from 24 to 60 hp; hunters benefit even more, especially when shoving the hunt off is a problem

- Bonus hp enables the hunt to sustain more than 1 AWP hit. There are times when this makes a difference. Though it's tempting to buy double hp for chargers too, more often than not bots or melee wielders will kill your charger quickly regardless of its hp, as soon as u're near enough. And the ghost (perk4) jockey with double hp can be a nightmare.

- Bonus damage is a nice purchase and it makes hunter, smoker and tank much more dangerous. Also, right-click melee harrasing by jockey (or charger, beware of survs meleein'g) becomes much more deadly with it.

- Acid damage slows down the victim. Tank roar attack (same button as scope) with the acid damage enabled can slow down an entire team for solid 3 seconds.

- speed-up is a very good option for boomers, smokers and especially spitters ^___^

- Tank should buy-1-1-1 and buy 1-4-1 instantly.

 

There is one spawn bonus that should be used only as an emergency - when a roof's on fire. Yep, a fire shield protects any ignited zombie. Example: when a team can't kill a persistent spitter, they'd fire yell with a hope to ignite it. If the spitter is in 50 meter range (approximately), she'll start to burn. And she'll die in 12 seconds unless the fire is put out. That's where the fire shield saves the day. Also, the same logic applies to the boomer.

 

U can buy more than 1 spawn bonus for any infected u have, but keep in mind that the more u buy, the more u lose on your zombie's death!

It's prudent, however, to combine damage buffs with the special shield in times when u need to bring out the biggest guns ))

There are 2 useful long-term individual bonuses for surviviors. Both cost 100 points. Buy 2-1-1 gives u a 5 minutes 40% speed boost. This purchase is absolutely necessary to counter infected's team bonus "survivor slowdown" on tank. Victims or helping handers benefit from it too a lot, especially in difficult game.

Buy 2-2-1 gives u a 5-second special shield that will block 70% of damage from special infected attacks, 10 times. This one is useful if ur last health kit is already out and/or that team is trying to track down and devour u first. Also, this shield will protect u from Synczone's deadly hunter pounces. Warning - acid, mobs and claw attacks still harm u as usual, as well as friendly fire ))

The second part is an adjusted version of Don's L4D2 autoexec.

The main benefits I experienced are:

  • Lerp is set to minimum, which makes it possible for me to block hunters in the air before they pin me down.
  • Better overview over the situation due to improved color management of the glowing outlines.

 

To add Don's autoexec file, you will need to download one of its versions from the webpage mentioned above for there are scripts you'll need to copy into your L4D2 folder.

Dear Woonan, maybe you could sell Sync Points as a plug-in? It can be sold in source code form, along with a license.

You even can lease the system with annual payments. If it is possible technically, of course.
