This famous perkmod plugin has new features:

- perks are saved even after disconnection;

- "Spirit" perk is replaced with "Crawling" one.

All told the plugin is optimised and enhanced.

Survivor, Primary

 

  • Stopping Power
    Bonus damage (except with melee weapons).
  • Double Tap
    Increased firing speed with guns (except the SCAR).
  • Sleight of Hand
    Faster reload.
  • Pyrotechnician
    Picking up a grenade gives you two of that type.
    You start the round with a grenade.
  • Martial Artist
    You can swing a melee weapon twice in rapid succession.
    You suffer from a lesser maximum shove penalty.

 

Survivor, Secondary

 

  • Unbreakable
    Bonus health when using medkits, on being revived and on rescue.
  • Crawling
    If you are incapped you can crawl.
  • Helping Hand
    You revive others faster and give them bonus health on revive.

 

Survivor, Tertiary

 

  • Pack Rat
    You can carry more ammo.
  • Chem Reliant
    Using pills/adrenaline gives you extra health.
    You start the round with pills/adrenaline.
  • Hard to Kill
    You have extra health when incapped.
  • Extreme Conditioning
    You have bonus movement speed.
  • Little Leaguer
    You will start with a baseball bat.

Boomer

 

  • Barf Bagged
    Vomiting on a survivor calls more common infected.
  • Blind Luck
    Vomiting on a survivor will block more of their HUD.
    You have a shorter cooldown.
  • Dead Wreckening
    Common infected deal bonus damage against vomited survivors.
  • Motion Sickness
    You can vomit and move at the same time.
    You have bonus movement speed.

 

Smoker

 

  • Tongue Twister
    Your tongue travels faster and farther, and drags survivors faster.
  • Squeezer
    You deal bonus damage with your tongue.
  • Drag and Drop
    You have a much shorter cooldown.
    You can release a survivor at will by clicking ATTACK2.
  • Smoke IT!
    You can walk while pulling survivors.

Hunter

 

  • Body Slam
    On pouncing a survivor, you always deal a minimum amount of damage.
  • Efficient Killer
    You deal bonus damage.
  • Grasshopper
    Your pounces launch you much farther.
  • Speed Demon
    You move at an increased time rate.
    Your scratches deal bonus damage.

 

Jockey

 

  • Ride Like the Wind
    You move faster while riding a survivor.
  • Cavalier
    Bonus health.
  • Frogger
    Can jump and leap farther.
    Bonus damage.
  • Ghost Rider
    Near invisibility.

 

Spitter

 

  • Twin Spitfire
    You can spit twice in quick succession.
  • Mega Adhesive
    Your spit slows the survivors.

 

Charger

 

  • Scattering Ram
    Hitting secondary targets while charging will send them flying farther.
    Gives bonus health.
  • Speeding Bullet
    Charges are faster and longer.

 

Tank

 

  • Adrenal Glands
    Increased attack speed.
  • Juggernaut
    Bonus health.
  • Metabolic Boost
    Increased movement speed.
  • Storm Caller
    A zombie wave will spawn with you.
  • Double the Trouble
    A second tank will spawn with you.
    Both tanks will have reduced health.

A warning4all n00bz - any perks you choose are totally your business except the Tank's perks. Most experienced players choose either Juggernaut (14K HP, no speed boost) or Metabolic(10K HP, 30% speed boost). Almost no use of other tank perks. And choosing the double tank perk is a faux pas on Synczone, at least for newbie players. Reason - 2 noobtanks (10K+8K, no speed boost) will usually be decimated much faster than the single one, especially if this single one is Juggernaut or Metabolic.

 

Other notes on infected perks:

- Motion sickness for boomer. Compared to it, other perks are nothing.

- Smoker perks' choice depends on the map and your style of play. Make an easy start with Smoke it!

- As Synczone's hunters deal 5x pounce damage, Grasshopper is a choice for many. Fewer people prefer Efficient Killer. Strangely enough, noobhunt can benefit from any hunt perk ) But Body Slam is really lame, and a Ghost jockey makes usually a better scratch harrasser than a Speed Demon hunt3r.

- All Jockey perks are useful.

- 19 out of 20 acid pools on Synczone are made by two-shot-spitters. Single-big-shot adhesive spitters therefore are outnumbered 9 to 1 )) Single shot does not forgive errors - that's why adhesives are losing the intraspecific competition!

- Both charger perk choices are solid.

Survivor perk choice is another topic. There are three tiers of perks, and you need to choose one perk from each tier. Primary perks influence your offence abilities, secondary perks - your defence capabilities, and tertiary - your staying power.

Primary perk tips:

1) Stopping power is just 25% more damage per bullet. Usually, other perks give you more advantages.

2) Double tap is great for AWP and Steyr Scout users. As both rifles do around 250 damage, and shoot at a low rate of fire, double tap greatly improves your abilitiy to kill with them.

3) Sleight of hand is the default offence perk-of-choice for many, because it also works defensively in a way other perks do not work. Many guns have horrible reload rates (e.g. Desert Rifle), and on Synczone with its hordes of infected you wish you'd really reloaded faster. That's why people choose Sleight of hand over other perks, especially with assault rifles, SMG and shotguns. Faster reload - faster reply to the enemy's surprise attacks. That's the defensive power of the Sleight of hand perk.

4) Pyro. 2 Grenades on spawn. Wait, why boomer bile? Shouldn't you've had a molotov? )) So, 2 free throwables can make a difference team-wise on the difficult level openings. That's why sometimes people choose to become a Pyro ^___^

5) Martial artist is a great perk too, almost obligatory for some ppl in the Hotel, and a combination "AWP+double_rate_melee" is a choice for the most hot-blooded players on Synczone. Also more liberal maximum shove penalty, and a very important faster recover rate.

 

Secondary perk tips

1) Unbreakable. 130 hp on the start. And + some hp on revive and heal. Default n00b choice, but in my opinion other tier 2 perks are more interesting.

2) Crawling. The choice of a wise, careful person. Incaps are where the Infected team focus their attacks, and a crawler throws a big wrench in their plans. Spitter pins become ineffecient, for exapmle.

3) Helping hand is a choice for a more risky and confident person, IMHO. Reduced revive time is a often a life-saver, 60 temp hp means no speed penalty for the reviveees.. Until you fall down and become a target for a well-hidden spitter. ^___^ Still, perks 2&3 are matched evenly ))

Personally, I'd prefer my team to feature hh/crawlers 50/50.

 

Tertiary perk tips

1) Pack Rat. Sorry, we're playing the zombie apocalypse survival FPS, not the post-nuclear RPG ) No loot to sell + frequent ammo/wpn piles.. Autoshotgunners and quick reloaders can benefit from this perk sometimes, though.

2) Chem Reliant. That's a very potent perk, and it can be combined nicely with "hp conversion" purchase. Pillz give 75 (or more?) hp, and you start with them. Louis now can say "Grabbin' peelz" right inside the starting saferoom.

3) Hard to kill. Sometimes this perk can make a difference, but the frame for it to work is so narrow and random... Best advice - do not bother.

4) Extreme Conditioning. Another very potent perk. More speed - more time to cover and heal, less damage taken, better tank fighting chances, lesser limp penalty. If everything is a bust, than at least you can rush better with this perk )))

5) Little Leaguer. Right, many times on Synczone you won't get a melee wpn at the saferoom. And in the first 25% too. There are melees, but other players claim them faster. So, if you desperately need a melee, and you want to make sure you'll have one regardless of circumstances, take this perk.

There were some rebalances on Synczone that effected the Tank. From March 15, 2013 each of the tank's perks is a viable option. However, Storm Caller is probably inferior still, and Adrenal Glands shines only if the tank fight is surely to happen in closed quarters.

Tank perk 1 was again rebalanced. Now it's 2 times shorter cooldown on the rock throw ability. Rocks can be combined with !buy boosts
